Terms of Use

Effective date: August 6, 2026

1. Agreement. By using DocketWatch (docketwatch.ca), including its email digests and its MCP endpoint, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. The service. DocketWatch is a research and monitoring service from Baseline Energy Analytics Ltd. ("BEA," "we"). It reproduces documents filed in public proceedings before the Nova Scotia Energy Board (NSEB) and adds AI-generated summaries, articles, and analysis. Our Disclaimer is part of these terms: DocketWatch content is not advice, AI-generated content may contain errors, and only the filed documents are authoritative.

3. Permitted use. You may read, search, link to, and quote DocketWatch content for research, professional, and internal business purposes. When you quote our AI-generated content, identify DocketWatch as the source.

4. Prohibited uses. You may not:

• bulk or systematically download the corpus - documents, passages, summaries, or the knowledge graph - whether programmatically or manually;
• scrape, crawl, or harvest the site or the MCP endpoint beyond ordinary question-answering use;
• use DocketWatch content to build or train a competing product or model;
• republish substantial portions of the service;
• mask or misrepresent the origin of DocketWatch content; or
• interfere with the operation or security of the service.

5. MCP endpoint. The MCP endpoint exists to answer questions, with a source link for every fact - it is not a bulk-export API. Access is subject to these terms, including the prohibited uses above. We may publish separate terms for programmatic access; those control if they conflict with these.

6. Email digests. Subscribing means you agree to receive digest and service emails at the address you provide. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle your information.

7. Third-party rights. Documents reproduced here were filed by their authors, who may hold rights in them. You are responsible for ensuring your use of a filed document is permitted.

8. No warranty. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind - including accuracy, completeness, currency, or fitness for a particular purpose - except where such a disclaimer is prohibited by applicable law.

9. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BEA, its principals, and its staff are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from use of, reliance on, or inability to use the service, including loss caused by errors or omissions in the content.

10. Suspension. We may block or limit any user or client that violates these terms, without notice.

11. Changes. We may amend these terms. The current version, with its effective date, is always at docketwatch.ca/terms. Continued use after a change is acceptance.

12. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Nova Scotia. Disputes belong to the courts of Nova Scotia.
